In accordance with articles L.611-1 and R.616-1 of the French Consumer Code, in the event of a dispute with the Firm and after having attempted to resolve the matter amicably, the consumer client may freely refer the matter to the National Consumer Mediator of the legal profession:
6. Fees and agreements
In accordance with articles 10 and 11.2 of the National Internal Regulations of the legal profession (RIN), the Firm’s fees are freely set with the client by written agreement, taking into account in particular:
- The complexity of the matter
- The time devoted
- The diligence required
- The client’s financial circumstances
- The lawyer’s reputation and specialisation
A fee agreement is systematically signed with each client prior to any intervention, pursuant to article 10 of French Law no. 71-1130 of 31 December 1971.
7. Professional indemnity insurance
In accordance with article 27 of French Law no. 71-1130 of 31 December 1971, the Firm is covered by the Professional Indemnity Insurance collectively subscribed by the Paris Bar Council with AON France.
The financial guarantee covers the entire territory of France and the lawyer’s professional activity.
8. Territorial scope of practice
Maître Drusilla Bret-Cunynghame-Robertson practises throughout the territory of the French Republic, in Mainland France and the French Overseas Territories, as well as before the international tribunals for which she is qualified to appear, including:
- The International Criminal Court (The Hague, Netherlands)
- The European Court of Human Rights (Strasbourg)
- Tribunals exercising universal jurisdiction
- International human rights bodies
The Firm advises on proceedings before these international tribunals.
9. Intellectual property
All elements composing the website dbcr-avocat.fr (texts, images, logo, structure, source code, etc.) are protected by intellectual property law and are the exclusive property of Cabinet DBCR Avocat or its assigns.
Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication, transmission, distortion, in whole or in part, of the website or its content, by any means whatsoever, is prohibited without the prior written authorisation of the Firm, under penalty of constituting an infringement sanctioned by articles L.335-2 and following of the French Intellectual Property Code.
