International criminal & public law

Advice and representation in international criminal law and human rights, before competent tribunals.

Context

International criminal law incriminates the most serious attacks on universal values: genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, crime of aggression. Alongside this conventional foundation, national courts have been granted universal jurisdiction, allowing them to prosecute certain such crimes regardless of where they were committed or the nationality of their authors.

The Firm advises victims, NGOs, States and institutions on the legal qualification of facts, procedural strategy, and the articulation between domestic routes (French universal jurisdiction) and international tribunals.

This practice requires particular rigour: mastery of conventional sources, international humanitarian law, specific evidentiary rules and procedural standards of competent international tribunals.
